I oppose diets fiercely. Lots of people daydream about being thin, having a slim body, a slender waste, and narrow hips. When their dream comes true they suffer from diseases and even get depressed. Excessive thinness encroaches on 8 years of life in at least 90 per cent of situations. According to the statistics, out of six people who had lost weight only one manages to stay at the same density level. The girls are growing thinner vigorously, either restricting themselves to food or not eating at all. Thus, the stomach reduces in size, the immune system weakens, internal organs don’t function properly, and the rate of various infectious diseases rises. What’s more, such problems as exhaustion, brittle nails, dull and lifeless hair, fatigue, and apathy are brought about by malnutrition. I believe that if one wants to lose weight he/she needs to go in for sports, to take up walking, for example. Scientists point out that a daily 30 minutes’ walk may help a person get rid of 5 kilos in a month. A perfect diet which one can follow forever without harming the health is an adequate and balanced nutrition.
